What is an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)?

An EPC will indicate how energy efficient a home is, on a scale of A-G. The most energy efficient homes - which should have the lowest fuel bills - are in band A.

The Energy Performance Certificate also tells you, on a scale of A-G, about the impact the home has on the environment.

Better-rated homes should have less impact through reduced carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.

The certificate includes recommendations on ways to improve the home's energy efficiency to save you money and help the environment.

When do I need an EPC?

If you are going to market a property FOR SALE or TO LET it will need an EPC. If you are offering
a property FOR SALE then the EPC must be ordered before it is placed on the market. If you are offering
a property TO LET then the EPC must be available by the time a viewing is conducted.

Who will visit the property to create the EPC?

One of our full-time employed Accredited Assessors will contact you to arrange a convenient time to visit.
